REFLEXOLOGY
WHAT IS REFLEXOLOGY?
Reflexology is the application of appropriate pressure to specific points and areas on the feet.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
It is known that “reflex points” found in the feet, correspond to different organs, areas and functions of the body. Applying precise pressure to each of these points can reveal problem areas, in need of attention and can offer real benefits for a person’s health and wellbeing.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Although the term “Sports” or “Athletic” appears only inclusive to athletes or those who have undergone a traumatic, sports related event, this isn’t the case. Functional rehabilitation allows for the attention to overuse injuries of weekend warriors, muscular imbalances of desk jockeys, or the common “slept the wrong way” syndromes. In this sense, we are all athletes looking for optimal function in all of our activities of daily living.
HOW IS IT DONE?
One hour sessions are carried out, by a qualified Reflexologist, following an Initial Assessment (if you are visiting us for the first time), to determine the safety and requirements of the techniques to be used prior to a session. In a comfortable position, manual techniques are applied by the therapist, to locate and treat the areas of your feet, which require the most attention, as you relax.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
If you haven’t already, prior to your appointment, remember to bring any doctor’s prescriptions, scan results, medication list.
